Fortune's Waterbury

Fortune lived and worked just outside the center of town. Waterbury's earliest homes were built around the town's center, which later became the Green.

Fortune was baptized in St. John's Church on December 20, 1797. The building had been consecrated on November 1 of that year. Engraving published in Joseph Anderson's History of Waterbury, Volume I, 1896.
